Over the past few evenings the vague idea of a plot for a picture book started forming in my head so I thought I would write about it here, as well as collecting my thoughts on any inspirational stuff that I happen to find along the journey to completing the story.
Above is a page from my sketchbook working out a basic composition of one of the spreads. At the moment I just can’t picture any colours that would work but I think I’m going to play around with some very flat blocks of colour to add drama to the scene.
Maybe something along these lines:
This one is going to need lots of monsters!
